Living room wall art

Combine cricut cut and a watercolor background and you get awesome pictures to fill your wall for almost free! I found those cuts in between cricut images and I just loved the bike. And the blue background..well I am still decorating our house since our move (yeah I know it happen while ago too) and I decided to go with dark blue and a little amount of purple accents. I have the picture with my head but unfortunately it isn't as easy to "just re-decorate" with a toddler climbing on tables and grabbing everything he can reach.

What is SVG file format

I keep hearing people with explore machine asking this question all the time so I decided to make this post only to explain what it is.

SVG stands for scalable vector graphic. And the exact definition is: SVG is an XML-based vector image format for two-dimensional graphics with support for interactivity and animation. The SVGspecification is an open standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) since 1999. SVG images and their behaviors are defined in XML text files. 

It pretty much means that it is computer calculated image and you can resize it how ever you want without losing a quality of your picture.  For example if you enlarge JPG file, your image can become "pixaleted" and have funny looking squares all over it. It isnt sharp and pretty much not nice anymore. But if you enlarge SVG, you wont get any of that. Image appears same as before you resized it.

Well well well....look what I got for christmas...

I am not quite sure how much time I will be able to find between running between cleaning the house ( somehow its in mess all the time no matter what we do about it....) and my son. My son seems to think I have to also be in the play pen and so when Im doing anything else then sitting right next to him he shakes sides of he play pen and screams at me.Or throw all of his toys over outside of the playpen. Or both....Just fun.....That is pretty much the reason why I havent really had much of a craft time since he was born. Now I got this from my hubby so now I ll have to find the time:-D The reason why I wanted this machine is, you can use your own svg files and pictures. I make my own svg files. I dont need to buy cricut cartridges anymore. Yaaay....

Play cards

I've been looking for some nice play cards for my son, but I just didn't like any of those they sell. I guess every time I looked at some of them I always ended up thinking the same old "I can do nicer ones" So one day I finally did. I have to say I liked them more before I laminated them since they are made of layered paper instead of printed but  I still like them a lot.

Baby Shower Party Decoration

 One of our friend is now expecting a baby so I helped with her baby shower. The theme was a little unusual - air balloons and elephants. And since it is going to be a girl, pink elephants. It toke me a while to think of what I should make but at the end I was happy with what I came up with. Have a look.

A Blog...

And another blog came to life today...For a while I am trying to fight the idea of starting my own blog, but today I’ve finally made it. I keep peeking at other designers, photographers, artists and scrapbookers blogs and everytime I see something nice I tell myself that one day I’ll get there too. It has been almost three years that my wonderful husband bought the domain I chosed, how ever, he seems to give me too much credit and thinks I can actually make a website there on my own. Well I tried and failed. So now I found an alternative and yaaaay Im here. And yes, of course now is the worst time I could have start something like this, as almost a year ago we had a little baby boy that keeps me so busy that I sometimes almost forget my own name. So anyway, here is something little about me.

I grew up eastern Europe, I have been attending art classes since I was 6 years old. Growing up with my grandmother living in a small village and my mom having a lot of interest in knitting and sewing I have been introduced to DIY crafts very young. Although...honestly, I have no idea how to knit but I did felt in love with drawing and paintig. As a teenager I went to school oriented in business and marketing where I was introduced to computers. I loved drawing posters and I got a job at marketing agency in prague. Ive learned a little bit about vectors and design.

Later on Ive left Czech and moved to Great Brittain where I have met my wonderful husband and because of him I started being interested into computer graphic. During that time I was also introduced to card making and parchment craft and some of my cards have been published in Pergamano magazine.

Few years later we moved to US and since then Im mainly concentrating on painting and scrapbooking. Ive started creating my own SVG files when I couldnt find what I was looking for for  a decent price and I have been doing that since. I love scrapbooking although now a days I do not really have much time for it. But creating is my passion and it is who I am.
